Enemy at the Gates

Someone in the ruins of Stalingrad is killing Soviet officers one at a time, and a German sniper school director, Major König (Ed Harris), is the man behind the rifle. Vassili Zaitsev (Jude Law), a shepherd's son from the Urals, is pulled out of the rubble as the answer, and Commissar Danilov (Joseph Fiennes) turns his shots into propaganda. Jean-Jacques Annaud sets the hunt in the winter of 1942, and Danilov and Vassili both fall for Tania Chernova (Rachel Weisz).
