“Survival is key”

In 1978, Tim Jenkin (Daniel Radcliffe) and Stephen Lee (Daniel Webber), two white African National Congress activists, begin planning a way out of Pretoria Prison, where the apartheid regime has locked them up. Francis Annan keeps the plot to cells, corridors and the daily routines of the guards. Jenkin brings the ideas and Lee brings the nerve, and each leans on the other to get through the long days inside.
