Escobar: Paradise Lost

“Welcome to the family”

Nick (Josh Hutcherson), a young Canadian surfer, follows his brother Dylan (Brady Corbet) to a beach in Colombia, where he falls for Maria (Claudia Traisac) and learns who her uncle is. Pablo Escobar (Benicio del Toro) welcomes him warmly, with family dinners and open doors. Di Stefano, in his first film as director, keeps Nick close to the family table, a man who cannot yet see what belonging there will cost him.
