Essential Killing

“Run to live... kill to survive.”

A frozen woodland in Poland, where a Taliban soldier named Mohammed (Vincent Gallo) has escaped his captors and is running with soldiers close behind. Jerzy Skolimowski gives him almost no dialogue and no one to turn to, only snow and cold and the sound of his own breathing. Emmanuelle Seigner (Margaret) appears along the way, and everything depends on whether he lives through the winter.
