Eternity

Valentine (Audrey Tautou) marries at the end of the 19th century and begins a family that will fill a house with children, in-laws and the people they lose. Trần Anh Hùng, adapting Alice Ferney's novel L'Élégance des veuves, follows the women who come after her, Gabrielle (Bérénice Bejo) and Mathilde (Mélanie Laurent) among them. Love passes down the generations like an inheritance, and every marriage and every birth carries the chance of a death.
