“A comedy of biblical proportions.”

Evan Baxter (Steve Carell) has just been sworn in as a junior congressman, with big plans for Washington and a new house for his wife Joan (Lauren Graham) and their three sons. Then God (Morgan Freeman) turns up and tells him to build an ark before a great flood arrives. Tom Shadyac plays it as a family comedy, big and bright, built to get a whole room laughing at once.
