Evan Almighty

Evan Baxter (Steve Carell) has just been elected to Congress and wants to change the world, but God (Morgan Freeman) appears with a different plan: build an ark. Evan resists as his hair and beard grow uncontrollably and animals arrive in pairs. Shadyac shoots the chaos with a light touch, letting the absurdity unfold without cynicism, finding the joke in ordinary people and backyard miracles.
