Everlasting Moments

Maria Larsson (Maria Heiskanen), a working-class woman in early twentieth-century Sweden, wins a camera in a lottery, and her husband Sigfrid (Mikael Persbrandt) wants it sold. She keeps it instead, and the shopkeeper Sebastian Pedersen (Jesper Christensen) begins to show her how to use it. Jan Troell, working from the true story, stays close to the household and lets the small ordinary moments of the family fill the frame.
