“Not quite the party you signed up for...”

Ned (Liev Schreiber) wants a life that feels like his own again, but he spends his days writing for a semi-pornographic TV show he can't stand. At home, his fifteen-year-old son has just come out, his younger boy is afraid of nearly everything, and his wife Jeannie (Helen Hunt) has moved her sick, embittered father in from Detroit. Richard Levine lets the strain build as a co-worker (Carla Gugino) starts coming on to Ned, and his marriage has little left to spare.
