Every Day a Good Day

A university student, Noriko (Haru Kuroki), follows her cousin Michiko (Mikako Tabe) to a tea ceremony class near their house. The teacher, Takeda (Kirin Kiki), has them learn each movement of the ceremony by heart before any of it makes sense. Tatsushi Ōmori films the gestures and the sound of the water in close, patient takes, and lets the years go by one lesson at a time.
