Everybody's Talking About Jamie

“The true story that became a musical sensation.”

In a Sheffield school where careers day means picking a sensible job, sixteen-year-old Jamie New (Max Harwood) writes down that he wants to be a drag queen. His mum, Margaret (Sarah Lancashire), backs him however she can, while his friend Pritti (Lauren Patel) stands next to him in the corridors and Miss Hedge (Sharon Horgan) tells him to be realistic. Jonathan Butterell finishes on a lit stage, with Jamie standing in the spotlight in a dress.
