Mia Allen (Jane Levy) arrives at an isolated cabin in the woods with her brother David (Shiloh Fernandez) and three friends. In the basement, they find a book bound in human flesh, which Eric (Lou Taylor Pucci) reads aloud, speaking words that shouldn't be spoken. What wakes in the dark comes for them one by one, and Mia watches the woods fill with shapes that used to be people, her own hands no longer entirely her own.
