(1933)Directed by Robert Florey67 minComedy, Romance
“So frank . . so outspoken... so true...”

Helen Bauer (Bette Davis) is a commercial illustrator in 1933 who doesn't believe in marriage and has lived happily with Don Peterson (Gene Raymond), an advertising writer. After one party, Don stays hidden in her bedroom until the guests leave, tired of the sneaking around, and asks her to marry him. Robert Florey follows her as she says yes, still afraid it will ruin them, with Don's coat left on her bedroom chair.
