Execution Squad

“With killers on the loose who's putting the cops out of business?”

Commissario Bertone (Enrico Maria Salerno) runs homicide in Italy's anni di piombo and is, by most measures, an honest cop. The courts around him are so inept and corrupt that other policemen have started taking the law into their own hands. Steno puts Bertone between the crime he is hired to stop and the vengeful colleagues he has to rein in, with prosecutor Ricciuti (Mario Adorf) as the law's last fragile hold.
