Executive Order

A government decree in Brazil orders black citizens to leave for Africa, a return to their origins, and the order comes with no clear end date. Antônio (Alfred Enoch), a lawyer, shelters in an apartment with his cousin André (Seu Jorge) while the city outside turns dangerous. Lázaro Ramos, adapting a stage play, keeps the two men talking in close rooms, and the argument between them about whether to stay or go is what binds them.
