Exiles

Zano (Romain Duris) is a young Parisian who, one day, proposes a crazy idea to his companion Naïma (Lubna Azabal): travel across France and Spain to Algeria, the land their parents once had to leave. Tony Gatlif, who left Algeria himself 43 years earlier, sends them south by foot, by train, and by whatever ride they can get. Their journey runs toward Algiers, and Zano and Naïma stay on the road, bound for a country neither has ever seen.
