Max Isaksen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is an insurance broker whose whole life revolves around holding his brain tumour in check, with careful meals, exercise and a strict routine. The effort has only made him more depressed, and when he learns his wife plans to leave him, he decides to end his life. Jonas Alexander Arnby follows Max through the plan, Coster-Waldau holding the screen with the tired, guarded face of a man who has stopped expecting anything.
