Exodus

“The drama and the passion of one of the epic events of the twentieth century!”

Six hundred Jewish refugees sit in a detention camp on Cyprus, and the British will not let them sail for Palestine. Ari Ben Canaan (Paul Newman), a Haganah fighter, gets them aboard a ship called the Exodus anyway, with Otto Preminger's epic following the voyage through a blockade. Kitty Fremont (Eva Marie Saint), an American nurse, is drawn in beside him, and Ari has little room left for anything but the cause.
