“When men ruled as gods, one was chosen to change the world.”

Moses (Christian Bale) turns against Ramses (Joel Edgerton), the Pharaoh he grew up beside, and leads 400,000 slaves out of Egypt. Ridley Scott follows the march and the cycle of plagues that fall on the country behind them. Underneath the spectacle is a plain argument about whether one man's anger or a god's will frees a people.
