Expect the Unexpected

Hong Kong in 1998 is full of mainland crooks, and the ones who botch a jewelry heist are not the ones the police are looking for. Ken (Simon Yam), the serious one, and Sam (Lau Ching-wan), who jokes his way through every case, take the job and pin it on the wrong men. Patrick Yau lets the case run on mistaken identity, with dangerous criminals and amateurs getting mixed up, and no one involved sure who is chasing whom.
