Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close

(2011)Directed by Stephen Daldry129 min · PG-13Drama
“This is not a story about September 11th, it's a story about every day after.”

Oskar Schell (Thomas Horn) is a boy in New York who counts and invents and worries, and a year after losing his father, Thomas (Tom Hanks), he finds a small key in a vase in his father's closet. He decides it was left for him and sets out across the city to find the lock it opens. Stephen Daldry follows him from door to door, with the boy's mother (Sandra Bullock) unaware of where he goes and everything he has left of his father riding on that one key.
