Eye of the Devil

Philippe de Montfaucon (David Niven) leaves for his family estate in rural France and tells his wife to stay behind, without a word of explanation. Catherine (Deborah Kerr) follows him anyway and finds a household bound by an old family secret, with Donald Pleasence's Pere Dominic among those keeping it. J. Lee Thompson shot the film at the Château de Hautefort, and Catherine, alone among them, keeps asking questions no one will answer.
