Eyes Wide Open

Aaron Fleischman (Zohar Shtrauss) wants nothing more than to keep the life he has: his wife Rivka (Tinkerbell), their children, the family butcher shop in Jerusalem. Then he hires Ezri (Ran Danker), a homeless 19-year-old student, as his assistant, and the attraction he has kept quiet for years starts to press on him. Haim Tabakman, in his first feature, films the shop and the narrow streets in a plain, close way that leaves Aaron nowhere to look away.
