Face

“The blag to kill for. Only one of them meant it for real.”

London in the late 1990s, and the politics Ray believed in have mostly died out around him. Ray (Robert Carlyle), a former socialist, now robs banks with a crew of other washed-up criminals, among them Dave (Ray Winstone) and Stevie (Steven Waddington). Antonia Bird follows them toward one job too many, and the film settles on Carlyle's face, tired and watchful, waiting for the others to turn.
