Factotum

“What matters most is how well you walk through the fire”

Henry Chinaski (Matt Dillon) drifts through Los Angeles from one low-paying job to the next, picking only the ones that leave his evenings free for writing. Bent Hamer, adapting Charles Bukowski's novel, sets the story in the present day and keeps the camera on cheap rooms, bars and the people Henry drinks and bets with. Women like Jan (Lili Taylor) and Laura (Marisa Tomei) keep turning up, and Henry keeps writing anyway.
