“Knowledge is a dangerous thing”

In a future America where books are illegal, the firemen no longer put out fires. Guy Montag (Michael B. Jordan) burns what people hide, working under Captain Beatty (Michael Shannon), until a young woman, Clarisse McClellan (Sofia Boutella), makes him doubt the job. Ramin Bahrani's film sets the burning against a society that has handed the choice of what people may know to the state.
