“Wife. Mother. Spy.”

In the years after 2001, Valerie Plame (Naomi Watts) leads two lives: a mother of two in a quiet house, and a CIA operative whose own friends believe she works in energy consulting. Doug Liman follows her through Washington dinners, long office hours and her husband Joseph Wilson (Sean Penn) writing an article that puts her name in the open. It is a story about how much a government can ask of the people loyal to it, and what they owe each other in return.
