“Believe.”

Elsie Wright (Florence Hoath) wants the grown-ups around her to believe what she and her cousin Frances Griffiths (Elizabeth Earl) say they have seen at the bottom of the garden. In 1917 England, the two girls take a photograph that some are soon calling the first scientific evidence of fairies. Charles Sturridge films the story of the Cottingley Fairies as a fable, loosely based on the true events.
