Faith in the Impossible

American pastor Renee Murdoch (Vanessa Giácomo) is attacked during a run in Rio de Janeiro and hospitalized in critical condition. Her husband Philip (Dan Stulbach) and their children keep vigil as he shares her struggle publicly, calling strangers to pray for a miracle. Ernani Nunes documents the weight of faith tested against what medicine can and cannot do, finding the story not in the outcome but in what the family endures while waiting.
