Fallen Angels

“The night's full of weirdos.”

Nobody in 1995 Hong Kong seems to know where they fit, and the film follows two sets of lonely people who keep passing each other without meeting. Wong Chi-Ming (Leon Lai Ming) is a hitman who wants out, and his agent (Michele Reis), never named, is infatuated with him. He Zhiwu (Takeshi Kaneshiro), a mute ex-convict, scrambles to stay ahead of the police. Wong Kar-wai fills the city with neon, and the night hangs over all of them like a held breath.
