Fallen from the Truck

Stanislas (Patrick Timsit), a fisherman whose boat has broken down, loses his livelihood. Too old to start over and illiterate to retrain, he falls in with aging men who ambush trucks on rural roads for cargo. The work is dangerous enough, but his own sons are police officers, waiting to catch him. When a heist goes wrong, Stanislas opens a box to find a ten-year-old boy huddled inside, and the weight of what he's done sits in that moment between them.
