Family

Santiago (Juan Luis Galiardo) wants one thing on his birthday morning, a family that looks and behaves the way he pictured it. When his youngest son hands him a present, Santiago dismisses it, tells the crying boy he is fired, and says he wants a thinner son who doesn't wear glasses. Fernando León de Aranoa keeps the camera in the kitchen and among the relatives at the table, so the cruelty plays out at close range.
