Family Plot

(1976)Directed by Alfred Hitchcock120 minComedy, Crime, Thriller
“There's no body in the family plot.”

A missing heir, a fortune waiting for him, and a woman who claims the dead talk to her are all that connect Blanche Tyler (Barbara Harris) to a stranger in California. She and her cab-driving boyfriend George Lumley (Bruce Dern) go looking, and they run into a pair of serial kidnappers. Hitchcock, in his last feature, gives Blanche and George bickering, easy affection, and a partnership neither would call by that name.
