Fancy Dance

On the Seneca-Cayuga reservation in Oklahoma, Jax (Lily Gladstone) is raising her teenage niece Roki (Isabel DeRoy-Olson) after Roki's mother disappears. Erica Tremblay follows the two as they defy the law and take to the road for the Grand Nation Powwow in Oklahoma City, hoping to keep what is left of their family together. Nobody with authority is looking hard for the missing sister, and the film keeps that neglect in plain view.
