Fanny Lye Deliver'd

“Her world transform'd”

Fanny Lye (Maxine Peake) wants more than the quiet of an isolated Shropshire farm in 1657, where her husband John (Charles Dance) rules the house with a stern hand. Then a young couple, Thomas (Freddie Fox) and Rebecca (Tanya Reynolds), turn up at the door, say they have been robbed, and ask for a bed. Thomas Clay lets the visit settle over the household slowly, and Fanny starts to watch these two strangers more closely than she watches her own husband.
