Fantasia 2000

A concert hall, a full orchestra, and a series of live hosts, among them Steve Martin, Itzhak Perlman and Bette Midler, who step out to introduce each piece of classical music before the lights drop. James Algar and Gaëtan Brizzi are two of the directors who animate the segments, which include seven new shorts and the restored "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" from the original Fantasia. The idea behind all of it is simple: music can be watched as well as heard.
