Fantastic Planet

“A sublime trip to a fine new world!”

On the planet Ygam, giant blue Draags keep tiny Oms, descendants of Earth's people, as pets for their children, and cull the ones living wild like vermin. Terr, an Om boy raised by the Draag girl Tiwa (Jennifer Drake), grows up with her lessons in his head. René Laloux animated the film in cut-out paper figures from Roland Topor's drawings, at Jiří Trnka Studio in Prague.
