Commissaire Juve (Louis de Funès) wants one thing, to finally catch Fantômas, the masked criminal who has outwitted him through two films. Now the villain has put a head tax on the rich, and anyone who refuses to pay is marked for death. Jean Marais plays both the journalist Fandor and Fantômas, and André Hunebelle stages the chase as a cheerful French answer to the Bond pictures.
