Far from Home

“One boy wants her love. One boy wants her dead.”

Charlie Cox (Matt Frewer) skips the last chance for gas in California, and his car runs dry in Nevada, on a cross-country drive with his teenage daughter Joleen (Drew Barrymore). They take a night in a run-down trailer park, where two teenage boys take an interest in Joleen. Meiert Avis lets Charlie's stubborn, tired decision hang over every hour that follows, a father watching the boys around his daughter while someone in town is killing people.
