Far from Men

Daru (Viggo Mortensen) teaches schoolchildren in a remote Algerian village during the war, and all he wants is to be left alone with his classroom. That ends when a gendarme hands him Mohamed (Reda Kateb), a prisoner, with orders to deliver him to the authorities. David Oelhoffen adapts Camus' short story "The Guest," and the film closes on the two men as they set out across the Atlas mountains.
