“Your favorite Angels are back!”

Berlin is unified in name now, but crime and corruption fill the streets, and the city has filled up with Americans. Cassiel (Otto Sander), an angel who has spent his long watch looking down on the living, keeps his post while Wim Wenders picks up the story begun in Wings of Desire. Damiel (Bruno Ganz), who once gave up his wings for Marion (Solveig Dommartin), now stands on the other side of that choice, with Cassiel still above and wanting to follow.
