Fat City

“Life is what happens in between rounds.”

Tully (Stacy Keach) is a washed-up boxer in Stockton who drinks through the days and takes whatever work he can find. At a local gym he meets Ernie (Jeff Bridges), a teenager just starting out, and sends him to the trainer who once worked with him. John Huston shoots the bars and the gym as they are, and Tully sits in the dim light with a drink in front of him.
