Fatal Instinct

Ned Ravine (Armand Assante) is a Los Angeles cop who moonlights as a defense lawyer, and he wants a woman who is not his wife. He finds her in Lola Cain (Sean Young), who walks into one of his assignments and into an affair almost at once. Carl Reiner stacks the noir clichés and erotic-thriller tropes high, while Ned's wife Lana (Kate Nelligan) takes a lover of her own and starts working out how to collect on his life insurance.
