“Sometimes the best ideas are homegrown.”

Nearly a decade after a faulty product sent him to prison, the inventor Robert Axle (Kevin Spacey) walks out with his arrogance intact and a plan to win back his name and his money. First he has to reach his daughter Claire (Camilla Belle), who stopped speaking to him while he was away. Trent Cooper builds the film around the two of them, a father asking for a second chance and a daughter who isn't sure he deserves one.
