Faust

A map is pressed into the hands of a nondescript man, and it leads him out of the street and into a sinister puppet theatre. Faust (Petr Čepek) finds himself inside a stage version of the old legend, where live actors share the boards with clay figures and giant puppets. Jan Švankmajer has him drifting from the audience into the play itself, and the longer he stays, the more his own soul is on the line.
