Fear City: A Family-Style Comedy

(1994)Directed by Alain Berbérian100 minComedy

Before every screening of a cheap horror film at the Cannes Film Festival, the projectionist turns up dead, killed with a hammer and sickle exactly as in the movie itself. Odile (Chantal Lauby), a television journalist, is sent to cover the festival and finds herself in the middle of the case. Berbérian lets the Les Nuls trio play it straight, so Odile keeps working the story while the bodies pile up around her.
