“In the shadow of war, heroines write history.”

A British geologist has been caught mapping the Normandy beaches, and in May 1944 someone has to get him out before he talks. Louise Desfontaines (Sophie Marceau) is handed the job, with her brother Pierre and a team of women pulled from the French services and the Resistance, among them Jeanne (Julie Depardieu). Jean-Paul Salomé sends them in as the invasion nears, and a single captured man holds the secret of where it will land.
