Female Prisoner Scorpion: Jailhouse 41

“Slicing up the patriarchy since 1972.”

Nami Matsushima (Meiko Kaji), known to the other prisoners as Matsu, was once in love with a detective who used her and gave her up. Now she is locked in a women's prison among guards who enjoy their cruelty and inmates who refuse to obey. Shunya Ito, who also made the first film in the series, keeps the camera close to her face, the picture rough and grainy, while she says almost nothing.
