“Nothing is more desirable or more deadly than a woman with a secret.”

Laure Ash (Rebecca Romijn) pulled off a $10-million diamond theft, took a new name, and married a diplomat. Then a photographer snaps her picture in Paris, and the people from her old life learn exactly who she is and where. Brian De Palma sets Nicolas Bardo (Antonio Banderas) and the men who want their share in motion, and each of them is after the diamonds or Laure herself, perhaps both.
