Ferris Bueller's Day Off

“Leisure rules.”

Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) wants one perfect day off, so he fakes a sickness and explains to the camera how it's done. He pulls in his girlfriend Sloane (Mia Sara) and his best friend Cameron (Alan Ruck), and the three head into Chicago while principal Ed Rooney (Jeffrey Jones) tries to catch him out. John Hughes builds the day around Ferris and Cameron, a friend who needs him more than he lets on.
