Fever Dream

“Pay attention.”

In a rural clinic far from home, Amanda (María Valverde) lies stricken and weak while a boy named David (Emilio Vodanovich) sits beside her, asking questions. He is not her son and she is not his mother, but he needs her to remember how she got here. Claudia Llosa follows the two as they trace back through obsessive jealousy and a danger no one can see, and what holds it together is a mother's love for her child.
